August

Wow. Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. Mommy has been having trouble with her FTP (and still is). She was able to get some pictures up from the past month, but is still having trouble with the pictures she took while we went up to Uncle Joe and Aunt Shelli's family cabin on Lake Louise/Lake Thumb.

Anyhow, here's the pictures from this month, complete with their stories. I'll try to post the pictures from the lake as soon as Mommy can get the problem fixed with her FTP.

I don't understand what it is with Mommy and catching me in very compromising positions. In this particular picture, she had tried to change my diaper on the living room floor. But I peed, so she had to go get a new diaper. When she came back, not only had I rolled across the floor to go play on my gym, but I had also pooped and left the evidence on my trail!
She cleaned up my mess, and then took this mugshot as proof. How dare she?!?!

Everybody comments on how much I look like my Daddy. Well, not only do I look like him but I also sleep like him, as shown in this picture. We both like to sleep the same way, although he is a much heavier sleeper than I am, and he likes to sleep longer than I do. I love my Daddy, though. He makes me laugh.

Every now and again, I'll pull my binky out of my mouth (I don't use it except for when I'm tired, but I like to play with it and practice taking it out of and putting it back in my mouth). Sometimes, I try to put it back in, and I get mixed up. The binky will end up on the end of my nose, and I sometimes go cross-eyed trying to figure out how it got there. This is one of those times.

Here is a close up of the same thing. Binky stuck on the end of my nose. How embarassing!

I really like blankets. I like to play hide and seek, so if I find a blanket, I will cover my face up in it. If no one comes looking for me, I'll start to make coughing noises so I can get someone's attention. Usually, I get Mommy's.

Then Mommy or Daddy or Grandma Williams will uncover me, and I'm happy again. But I'll still cover up in the blanket any chance I get!

Do you think my hair's getting longer? I do. Mommy and Daddy do, too. And they think it's funny to spike my hair up like in this picture after they've given me a bath.

I'm one cool dude, wearing my shades. But don't try to take my picture and get me to smile, because I wiggle so much it's hard to get a clear shot sometimes!

Here's a clear shot, but no smile. Sometimes Mommy just has to take what she can get.

For a while, my favorite thing to do when I got on the floor was to roll under the coffee table and play under there. I've gotten over that now because I found out there's so much more other things to find and get into!

A close-up of me on my John Deer Gator. I like sitting on it and letting the engine rev. Aren't I a big boy?

Here's me in full view. I have a lot of fun. This was taken this last Saturday, August 29.

My new favorite toy is my dog, Stormy. I will scoot and roll all the way across the living room just so I can pull on his ears or his fur or his tail. Mommy doesn't let me do it, though, and she also won't let Stormy like my face. She says he has a poopy mouth.
Stormy likes me a lot. So does my kitty Celeste. She'll let me pet her and sometimes I pull her hair too. She's a big fluff ball, so it's not hard to get a handfull.
Mommy says she hopes I outgrow hair pulling very soon.

Well, that's it for this post. Oh, and Mommy wanted me to include a list of things I can do all by myself:

I can sit up.
I can hold my bottle (but I still can't get it in my mouth).
I can hold one toy in each hand (she says I'm double-fisting my toybox).
I can swap toys between either hand.
I can swipe toys to and away from me.
I can get up on my elbows and knees, and when I do I generally rock back and forth.
I can scoot across the floor, using my hands and knees.
I can roll from front to back and back to front like I've always been able to do it.
I flirt with any female that looks at me, and even some that don't.
I take naps in my crib now, sometimes for an hour or longer.
I sleep through the night completely, and usually wake up at 7 am for the day.
I eat 2 bowls of cereal per day, and 2 jars of the #1 sized Gerber fruit or vegetable.
I've tried both vanilla and chocolate ice cream and love both equally.
I've learned how to push buttons, and know what the result of pushing buttons on Daddy's television remote control will bring.
