First tooth!

My very first tooth started breaking through this morning!

Sorry for the lack of pictures. Mommy's been very busy.

6 months old!

Yes, it's already that time again! I was six months old on Sunday. On Saturday, Mommy and Daddy took me to have my pictures taken. Of course, I'm such a happy baby that the photographers fought over who would get to take my pictures. I flirted with all of them, so it didn't matter to me who did it, as long as she paid attention to me.

I really am becoming quite a lady's man. :)

Here's the pictures of me:

August

Wow. Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. Mommy has been having trouble with her FTP (and still is). She was able to get some pictures up from the past month, but is still having trouble with the pictures she took while we went up to Uncle Joe and Aunt Shelli's family cabin on Lake Louise/Lake Thumb.

Anyhow, here's the pictures from this month, complete with their stories. I'll try to post the pictures from the lake as soon as Mommy can get the problem fixed with her FTP.

I don't understand what it is with Mommy and catching me in very compromising positions. In this particular picture, she had tried to change my diaper on the living room floor. But I peed, so she had to go get a new diaper. When she came back, not only had I rolled across the floor to go play on my gym, but I had also pooped and left the evidence on my trail!
She cleaned up my mess, and then took this mugshot as proof. How dare she?!?!

Everybody comments on how much I look like my Daddy. Well, not only do I look like him but I also sleep like him, as shown in this picture. We both like to sleep the same way, although he is a much heavier sleeper than I am, and he likes to sleep longer than I do. I love my Daddy, though. He makes me laugh.

Every now and again, I'll pull my binky out of my mouth (I don't use it except for when I'm tired, but I like to play with it and practice taking it out of and putting it back in my mouth). Sometimes, I try to put it back in, and I get mixed up. The binky will end up on the end of my nose, and I sometimes go cross-eyed trying to figure out how it got there. This is one of those times.

Here is a close up of the same thing. Binky stuck on the end of my nose. How embarassing!

I really like blankets. I like to play hide and seek, so if I find a blanket, I will cover my face up in it. If no one comes looking for me, I'll start to make coughing noises so I can get someone's attention. Usually, I get Mommy's.

Then Mommy or Daddy or Grandma Williams will uncover me, and I'm happy again. But I'll still cover up in the blanket any chance I get!

Do you think my hair's getting longer? I do. Mommy and Daddy do, too. And they think it's funny to spike my hair up like in this picture after they've given me a bath.

I'm one cool dude, wearing my shades. But don't try to take my picture and get me to smile, because I wiggle so much it's hard to get a clear shot sometimes!

Here's a clear shot, but no smile. Sometimes Mommy just has to take what she can get.

For a while, my favorite thing to do when I got on the floor was to roll under the coffee table and play under there. I've gotten over that now because I found out there's so much more other things to find and get into!

A close-up of me on my John Deer Gator. I like sitting on it and letting the engine rev. Aren't I a big boy?

Here's me in full view. I have a lot of fun. This was taken this last Saturday, August 29.

My new favorite toy is my dog, Stormy. I will scoot and roll all the way across the living room just so I can pull on his ears or his fur or his tail. Mommy doesn't let me do it, though, and she also won't let Stormy like my face. She says he has a poopy mouth.
Stormy likes me a lot. So does my kitty Celeste. She'll let me pet her and sometimes I pull her hair too. She's a big fluff ball, so it's not hard to get a handfull.
Mommy says she hopes I outgrow hair pulling very soon.

Well, that's it for this post. Oh, and Mommy wanted me to include a list of things I can do all by myself:

I can sit up.
I can hold my bottle (but I still can't get it in my mouth).
I can hold one toy in each hand (she says I'm double-fisting my toybox).
I can swap toys between either hand.
I can swipe toys to and away from me.
I can get up on my elbows and knees, and when I do I generally rock back and forth.
I can scoot across the floor, using my hands and knees.
I can roll from front to back and back to front like I've always been able to do it.
I flirt with any female that looks at me, and even some that don't.
I take naps in my crib now, sometimes for an hour or longer.
I sleep through the night completely, and usually wake up at 7 am for the day.
I eat 2 bowls of cereal per day, and 2 jars of the #1 sized Gerber fruit or vegetable.
I've tried both vanilla and chocolate ice cream and love both equally.
I've learned how to push buttons, and know what the result of pushing buttons on Daddy's television remote control will bring.

5 months old!

On the 28th, I officially turned 5 months old. I'm doing all kinds of neat things like sitting up by myself, holding the bottle on my own (but sometimes with help from Mom because I haven't quite got the hang of leaving it in my mouth), and growing teeth. I drool like crazy, but I love to cuddle and give Mommy and Daddy drooly kisses.

My favorite things are NASCAR, Tony Stewart, Jimmy Neutron, and Jojo's Circus. I like to laugh and giggle and smile.

Yep, life is a lot of fun for me. Can you tell from these pictures?

Sitting up and scooting!

Mommy has been working. So had Daddy. And so have I, on all kinds of new accomplishments. I'm still teething. It's making me crabby as can be. But I'm also doing fun stuff like sitting up on my own!

Mommy took this picture of my sitting today.
I'll sit like this for a little bit, and then I'll either topple forwards or backwards.

This is me being scared of the vaccuum cleaner.
It makes a noise that I don't like and I cry.

This is the where I start my journy across the floor...

And here I am in the middle of my journey...

I'm creeping further and further from my play mat.

You don't think Mommy notices that I've moved, do you?

I think I'll head towards the TV and see what kind of trouble I can get in there...

I couldn't make it to the TV... all that scooting across the floor is hard work!

Mommy's new favorite thing to do
is wrap me up in my bouncer like a mummy
and then bounce me until I go to sleep.

Well, that's all for this time around. Probably the next time I post, it will be of pictures from our trip up north that we're due to take on August 5 - 7. Hope to see you then!

All kinds of updates

Mommy's been working a lot, so she hasn't had as much time to spend helping me update the blog. She said she'd rather spend time with me directly. She's helping me today, though, because Grandma said so. :)

I've been eating cereal twice a day now, and Mommy and Daddy have been introducing fruits into my diet. My favorite so far is prunes. Mommy said that that was strange. But neither of them are normal, so what did they expect?!?

I'm also starting to get my first tooth. It's one of my bottom, front teeth. It really hurts. I get fussy because of it and sometimes have a hard time napping.

Without further adeiu, here's the pictures that Mommy's taken from the past couple of weeks that I haven't had time to post.

Me doing what I love best - taking a bath. :)

I found myself in the mirror, too.
This morning, Mommy caught me staring at myself and smiling,
but she said it was too early to try to take a picture.

Playing in my exersaucer is fun!
This is me playing this afternoon.
See how big it makes me smile?

Another picture playing on my exersaucer.
I can really get around in it.

I'm not always happy, though.
Mommy can always tell when I'm about to get fussy.
My bottom lip sticks out in a pout.

My other favorite thing to do is watch racing.
My favorite driver is Tony Stewart.
When he's on TV, I sing to him.

I took a really good nap this afternoon.
Mommy was even able to get a picture without my noticing it.

And I've found my toes and like to put them in my mouth.
They also found another toy I like.
It's a little gymnasium with a blue bird that sings to me.

Here's another picture of me playing with my feet.
Usually, I grab at the frogs (which are my favorite animal so far),
but today my feet were more interesting.

I've gotten pretty good at sticking my tongue out.

I didn't get to go to the Brookfield Zoo,
but Jan sent me an outfit from there. :)

We ended up going to the Binder Park Zoo a couple of weekends ago. It was a lot of fun, although I slept through most of it. Mommy took a lot of really good pictures of the animals.

Anyhow, I gotta go. It's time for me to have a bottle. I'm up to 6 ounces now, sometimes more. :)

4 months pictures!

Yep, it's that time again. Mommy and Daddy took me to get my pictures done last night. Here's what the photographer and Mommy got out of me:

Mommy's going back to work next week sometime. She told me probably Tuesday or Wednesday. We'll see how that affects her picture taking time!
